Germany's coaching staff has taken extreme measures in recent days to prevent the leaking of tactics for the quarter-final against Spain at the European Championship.

Germany is in good shape as host country for the final tournament. In the group stage they won against Scotland (5-1) and Hungary (2-0), after which the team of national coach Julian Nagelsmann was also too strong for Denmark in the round of 16 with a 2-0 win.

Germany has taken serious measures to prevent the tactics for the cracker against Spain from being exposed prematurely, writes BILD.

Training sessions have been held at the adidas World of Sports campus in Herzogenaurach over the past few days. To keep out onlookers, two large fences with black tarpaulin were put up so that the training sessions remained truly private.

The training camp was also surrounded by mounted police to prevent tactical discussions from being bugged. BILD also claims that members of Germany's technical staff played loud music on their phones, preventing spies or passersby from eavesdropping on them. They were reportedly playing the theme song from the German children's series 'Benjamin Blümchen' when two reporters from the newspaper walked by.

The Daily Mail labels Germany as 'paranoid' because of the extreme measures, but it is not so strange that Nagelsmann feels compelled to do so. When he was coach of Bayern Munich last year, detailed details of his tactics also appeared in the media. Photos of Nagelsmann's new tactics at the record champion with passing and running lines were therefore visible to everyone.
