Rafael van der Vaart is impressed by Memphis Depay, the analyst says NOS during half-time of the practice match between the Netherlands and Iceland (1-0 score). The physical condition of Memphis in particular appeals to the former Oranje midfielder.
Van der Vaart is full of praise for Memphis after 45 minutes. “I think he's very fit. He radiates pleasure and is completely committed to his role. Really amazing. A bit out of rush hour, sometimes during rush hour. He often runs deep, gets good balls and then in my opinion he is unstoppable.”
Memphis' form could be essential for the Netherlands' European Championship, Van der Vaart thinks. “If you have this during rush hour, then that is of course nice.
