Theo Hernández appears to be leaving AC Milan for Bayern Munich after this season. According to Marca negotiations are almost in the final phase. A departure of Alphonso Davies to Real Madrid is therefore a lot closer.

Hernández is considered one of the better left backs in Europe and with his possible arrival to the Bundesliga, Bayern seems to be preparing for the departure of Davies, who has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid for months.

Hernández (26) is still with Milan until mid-2026, which, according to reports from Florian Plettenberg Sky Sports earlier this month demands at least sixty million euros to let his star defender go.

Bayern's interest in Hernández does not come out of the blue, as Plettenberg already confirmed in February that the Frenchman is on the list at Bayern. Earlier this month, Plettenberg confirmed that Bayern “have had discussions with Theo Hernández's management in recent weeks and months.”

“Theo would be willing to leave for Bayern,” Plettenberg wrote. “There are no agreements yet and no concrete negotiations between clubs. A transfer would also depend on the future of Alphonso Davies. The new coach would have to give his approval for the transfer. Hernández would cost more than sixty million euros.”

Bayern has still not found a successor for Thomas Tuchel, although it looks very likely that Vincent Kompany will be at the helm of the Allianz Arena next season. According to reports from Marca the teams have now started negotiating and an agreement on a transfer is near.

Plettenberg also appears to confirm the transfer with a '100 emoji' on top of the above message from May 10.

The likely arrival of Hernández also seems to mean bad news for Noussair Mazraoui. The former Ajax player has regularly played as a left back this season, but will have a formidable competitor in Hernández.

Theo Hernández's brother Lucas previously played four seasons for Bayern, which transferred no less than eighty million euros to Atlético Madrid in the summer of 2019, thus activating the release clause. Last summer, Lucas Hernández left for Paris Saint-Germain.
