Latest update:

Martijn Krabbendam has high expectations of two Feyenoord players, he says Football talk. The journalist thinks that both Lutsharel Geertruida and David Hancko will not need much longer to rise above the level of the Eredivisie. In addition, Krabbendam also knows of a Feyenoord player who will leave next summer.

The defenders are discussed at the ESPNprogram when presenter Wouter Bouman asks Krabbendam whether Hancko is 'starting to outgrow the Eredivisie'. “Yes, but you could also say that about Geertruida,” the Feyenoord club watcher responds Football International.

“I think Geertruida has only committed eight fouls all season,” Krabbendam estimates. “Of which two in De Kuip. The same applies to Hancko, he plays easily.”

“It's really starting to become noticeable that you've been making zero fouls at the back for a long time. You see now, Hancko moves to left back and he can also play there. He also plays there for the Slovak national team, so it's no problem for Feyenoord. to put him there.”

Krabbendam therefore suspects that Hancko, in view of the long-injured Quilindschy Hartman, will be Arne Slot's permanent left wing defender for the time being.

“They can of course still use Marcos López there, but they have actually said goodbye to that,” the journalist says about the Peruvian. López hardly gets any playing time in South Rotterdam and according to Krabbendam he is facing a summer departure.

“That boy has been on the bench for two years now and has to leave for his own sake,” said the analyst. “And Feyenoord will also cooperate. It is not without reason that they have almost already got Gijs Smal.” The latter will reportedly join FC Twente on a free transfer in the summer, although the deal has not yet been officially confirmed.

Krabbendam thinks that Feyenoord is in for a busy transfer summer. The Rotterdammers could simply complete a record transfer. “The time will come when Feyenoord will make major purchases. I think Feyenoord will cancel its purchase transfer, that is now Ueda.” The Japanese striker came over from Cercle Brugge last summer for a maximum of ten million euros.
