Jerdy Schouten can make a transfer to Borussia Dortmund next summer, reports Patrick Berger of the German branch of Sky Sports Monday. According to the journalist, the 27-year-old midfielder has no release clause in his contract and the transfer fee is negotiable.

Dortmund may have been impressed by Schouten's qualities during the matches against PSV. In the eighth finals of the Champions League it turned out those Boruses too strong for the Eindhoven team in two games.

Schouten completed the ninety minutes for PSV in both matches. In both Eindhoven and Dortmund he was stationed at the center back next to Olivier Boscagli.

According to Berger's reports, Dortmund is expressly looking for a flexible midfielder. Schouten would fit perfectly into the ideal picture of trainer Edin Terzic.

The midfielder and defender still has a contract that keeps him at the Philips Stadium until mid-2028. There is no escape clause in his contract, so the price is freely negotiable. PSV reportedly requires a minimum of thirty million euros for a possible summer sale.

In the current football season, Schouten has become a crucial force for coach Peter Bosz's PSV. Since the start of the season, he has played 33 games in the shirt for the Eindhoven team and he also completed ninety minutes for the Dutch team in the European Championship qualifying match against Ireland (1-0 win).

Last transfer summer, the defensive midfielder transferred from Bologna for a fee of approximately twelve million euros. PSV therefore wants to receive almost three times as much in the event of a possible resale.
