Top players, but also clubs from home and abroad, provide an insight into the ins and outs of the football world (almost) every day via Instagram, X or other internet channels. In this edition of VZ Social, attention is paid to a photo on Ajax's account, in which the ball appears to have crossed the line in the final phase of the match against SC Heerenveen.

Ajax lost 3-2 to Heerenveen on Sunday. The Amsterdam team started a real comeback after being 3-0 behind. In the closing seconds the score seemed to be 3-3. It would have been an own goal by Sven van Beek, but after much deliberation the VAR ruled that the ball had not crossed the goal line.

After the final whistle in Heerenveen, the Amsterdam club posted a photo on Instagram in which the ball appears to have crossed the goal line. The message is accompanied by the text: 'On to Thursday.'

On Thursday, Ajax will take on FK Bodø/Glimt in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. The match will be played in the intermediate round of the Conference League. The return in Norway is scheduled for the following week.
