Kenneth Perez and Marciano Vink were critical of Josip Sutalo during halftime of Ajax – PSV on Saturday. The central defender of the team from Amsterdam played a negative role in Luuk de Jong's 1-1, by letting his direct opponent Ismael Saibari run. The latter then provided the assist for the PSV striker.

“A very nice goal,” Perez praised De Jong's goal The Grandstand on ESPN. “We're running a bit deep here. A good goal.”

“But with this goal you can wonder what Sutalo was thinking,” Vink responds. “Of course he wants to sit short, but this is not the time to take initiative when you are 25 meters from your goal. That you want to come for it. Because you can't smell the extent to which that player is putting it over.”

“And if that does happen, like now, you'll be gone. This is just sticking with your husband. Nothing to worry about,” Vink concludes.

Perez agrees. “He's just not as good as he expects to be. This is something that will happen more often. He has been unconvincing since the summer. That is simply the weakness that Ajax has at the moment.”

Both teams went into halftime with a 1-1 score. Steven Berghuis had given Ajax a 1-0 lead in the nineteenth minute, on a pass from Brian Brobbey.
