Lucas Bergvall will not make the switch to FC Barcelona, writes Fabrizio Romano. The eighteen-year-old top talent has been linked to several top clubs for a long time and in recent weeks it seemed that Barça was going to win. Nothing turned out to be further from the truth, as Bergvall suddenly opted for Tottenham Hotspur on Deadline Day.

The London club transfers an amount of 'more than ten million euros' to Bergvall's current employer, Djurgardens IF. Part of that sum consists of unknown bonuses.
The only thing that can prevent a definitive stamp on the transfer is the midfielder's medical examination in England. This is scheduled for Friday, after which Bergvall can sign a five-year contract.
The Swedish top talent will not be immediately available for Tottenham. According to David Ornstein of The Athletic Bergvall will only join the selection of trainer Ange Postecoglou this summer.
Barcelona
For a long time it did not seem like the one-time Swedish international would sign in the Premier League. Earlier in January, Romano wrote that a transfer to Barcelona was as good as complete.
Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt were also reportedly in the market for Bergvall, but those clubs, like Barça, are missing out. PSV was also linked to the talent for some time, but the Eindhoven team never became concrete.
