In collaboration with Opta and the Kitchen Champion Division Football zone a weekly Team of the Week together with players who have performed the best based on statistics. Round 23 of the season was completed last Friday and Monday.

The goal is defended this week by Kevin Gadellaa. The twenty-year-old goal post of Jong FC Utrecht kept a clean sheet for the second time in three games and made no fewer than ten saves against Roda JC. Gadellaa thus became the first goalkeeper with ten saves or more and a clean sheet in a Kitchen Champion Division match since Liam Bossin on October 7, 2022.

There is room for FC Dordrecht midfielder Mathis Suray in midfield. He was involved in nine goal attempts against Jong Ajax (6 shots, 3 chances created), the highest number of all players this round.

In addition to Suray, Bryan Smeets is positioned in the Team of the Week. The MVV Maastricht midfielder was good for both a goal and an assist in one Kitchen Champion Division match (then against FC Twente) for the first time since September 8, 2018. It is also the second week in a row that Smeets has secured a spot in the Team of the Week.

In defense, the left block is formed by Flor Van den Eynden and Mees Kreekels from Helmond Sport. They won 1-0 against NAC Breda and their team managed to keep a clean sheet. It was the fifth time this season that coach Bob Peeters' team did not have to concede any goals in the competition.

TOP Oss striker Arthur Allemeersch is the attack leader of the Eltal of the Week. The Belgian scored his third competition goal of the season against SC Cambuur on Monday evening. Partly thanks to his goal, the team from Oss ultimately triumphed 1-2.

Team of the Week: Kevin Gadellaa (Jong FC Utrecht), Boyd Reith (Roda JC), Tyrese Asante (ADO Den Haag), Flor van den Eynden (Helmond Sport), Mees Kreekels (Helmond Sport), Mathis Suray (FC Dordrecht), Bryan Smeets (MVV) Maastricht), Jort van der Sande (ADO Den Haag), Thom van Bergen (FC Groningen), Arthur Allemeersch (TOP Oss), Remco Balk (SC Cambuur).
