Aad de Mos hopes that PSV's 1-1 draw against FC Utrecht is an incident. The former coach of the Eindhoven team is a bit afraid of a lesser period for the leader and in that context refers to Peter Bosz's past as a trainer.

“I already see a small trend at PSV from the training camp in Spain,” De Mos is talking to club watcher Rik Elfrink of the Eindhovens Dagblad not just praising the people of Eindhoven. “Can't win games like that, I thought.” PSV played a 2-2 draw against Hamburger SV on Spanish soil.

“And you're already touching on Bosz's theory,” De Mos is also critical of the PSV coach. “Squeezing players to a certain point. Then the story is a bit waning. The players will have to stand up. And you also get some setbacks, with players who are disappointed and sit on the bench too long.”

“And you have the transfer period, where Vertessen is a bit in between,” De Mos adds. Elfrink emphasizes that PSV lost 4-0 to Arsenal in the Champions League earlier this season, and subsequently did not lose a match in the billion-dollar ball and the Eredivisie.

“You always reach the phase where a journey of discovery takes place with the opponent,” De Mos responds to Elfrink's statement. “What are the strengths and weaknesses of the new PSV? How did they get those seventeen wins? Well, everyone knows that now.”

“There were two options. FC Twente took the wrong option and Utrecht the right one,” De Mos refers to the successful battle plan that Ron Jans used against PSV on Sunday. Joseph Oosting actually changed his team in various places in the match against PSV in the TOTO KNVB Cup. The Tukkers promptly lost 3-1.

“I think many will now make a copy of FC Utrecht,” De Mos predicts. “PSV has to come up with a plan for how teams will tackle the team at the back,” Elfrink concludes. “Very correct,” De Mos agrees.
