Bayern Munich booked an important victory in the battle for the national title on Saturday evening. The team of coach Thomas Tuchel had a hard time with Werder Bremen for a long time, but eventually managed to win 2-1 thanks to goals from Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sané. A nice connection goal from the home team came too late. Due to the victory, Bayern is four points behind Borussia Dortmund, which will play against VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday.

Bayern came out with a fright ten minutes before the break. Christian Gross fooled some opponents with a good individual action and then came face to face with Yann Sommer. The midfielder shot over the goal and failed to give his team the lead. The visitors also played with difficulty after the break, although they managed to break the spell with more than an hour on the clock.
The ball suddenly fell at the feet of Gnabry, who was then able to work in from close range: 0-1. Bayern got more space with the opening goal and managed to use it twenty minutes before the end via Sané. Mazraoui found the attacker with a smart through ball, after which Pavlenka was left without a chance with a careful slide: 0-2.
