Internazionale has qualified for the final of the Coppa Italia. The team of trainer Simone Inzaghi was 3-0 too strong for AC Milan in the return of the semi-final, partly thanks to the first goal by Robin Gosens in the blue-black. Who will be the opponent in the final on May 11 in the Stadio Olimpico in Rome will be revealed on Wednesday, as Juventus and Fiorentina compete for the second place in the final.

The first leg of the semi-final between Inter and Milan – the numbers two and one of the Serie A – ended in a 0-0 draw at the beginning of last month. The previous two derbies in the league ended in a 1-1 draw and a 1-2 win for Milan, but the start of the fourth match of the season has been promising for i Nerazzurri† The game was only four minutes old when Nicolò Barella hit the right side of the field Matteo Darmian. His cross ended up at the feet of Lautaro Martínez, after which the Argentinian striker beautifully completed the ropes through the fingertips of goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

Milan did not give up and came into the game better and better, resulting in opportunities for Alexis Saelemaekers, Rafael Leão and Theo Hernández. Shortly before half time, however, Inter managed to double the margin. Joaquín Correa launched Martínez, who was too quick for the released Maignan and scored his second of the evening. The second goal of the evening did not change the proportions, not even after the break. Milan kept looking for a goal and seemed to get it twenty minutes before the end via Ismaël Bennacer, who scored after a corner that was deflected.

At Inter, there was immediately an outcry because of an alleged handball by Fikayo Tomori. Referee Maurizio Mariani, however, was called to the screen for a different reason: Pierre Kalulu was annoyingly offside, causing the goal to be cancelled. With 82 minutes on the clock, the game was finally brought to a close. Marcelo Brozovic found the passed substitute Gosens, who scored his first goal from close by in the shirt of Inter and thus determined the final score at 3-0.
