Roger Schmidt has announced the line-up in which PSV will play against Leicester City on Thursday evening. The trainer opts for a goalkeeper change for the second time this season: Joël Drommel has to give up his place to Yvon Mvogo. Cody Gakpo will also return to the team and Joey Veerman will replace the suspended Érick Gutiérrez. The game kicks off at 9 p.m. at King Power Stadium.

Mvogo was given a chance by Schmidt once before this calendar year, on February 5 in the league match against AZ. That ended dramatically for the Swiss, who made an error of judgment with a long ball and thus played a bad role for PSV in the decisive goal by Jesper Karlsson (1-2 loss). With that, Mvogo had immediately forfeited his credit and since then Drommel has been under the bar again. However, the goalie who came over from FC Twente has continued to stand out in recent weeks with hesitating play and is now being victimized.

André Ramalho is back in the PSV base for the first time since his months-long absence due to an injury. The defender came in at halftime against FC Twente (3-3) on Saturday for Jordan Teze, who is now on the bench. Veerman started in Enschede as a hanging left winger and slides back to the axis of the field, so that Gakpo can end up in the vacant position. The PSV captain has fully recovered and announced on Wednesday that he would be able to play ninety minutes. Also striking is the starting spot for Noni Madueke, who starts as a right winger. That place has usually been allotted to Ritsu Doan, who sits on the couch for the past month.

Brendan Rodgers makes two changes at Leicester from the side that drew 1-1 against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Ricardo Pereira replaces James Justin as right-back, while Albrighton replaces the passed Nampalys Mendy. Eye-catcher Jamie Vardy has been absent from Leicester for a long time due to a knee injury.

Leicester City line-up: Schmeichel; Ricardo, Evans, Fofana, Castagne; Tielemans, Dewsbury-Hall, Maddison; Albrighton, Barnes, Iheanacho

PSV line-up: corporate social responsibility; Mauro Junior, Ramalho, Boscagli, Max; Sangare, Veerman; Madueke, Gotze, Gakpo; Zahavic
