It is the first time since the first leg of the final of the Supercopa de España (1-3 win) from the 2017/18 season that Real Madrid does not appear in the traditional shirt against the arch-rival. The idea for the striking black kit is a result of the collaboration between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto, the Japanese designer of the Y-3 brand.
