The line-up of Feyenoord for the return match against Partizan Belgrade in the Conference League is known. The Rotterdammers have to do without Gernot Trauner and Marcus Pedersen, who have both tested positive for the corona virus. In addition, head coach Arne Slot is missing for the same reason. His duties are taken over by assistant John de Wolf. Feyenoord defends a 2-5 lead from 9 p.m. in front of its own audience.

It was announced this week that Justin Bijlow will be sidelined for months due to a foot injury. Ofir Marciano is his permanent replacement and is under the bar against the leader of Serbia. Lutsharel Geertruida has a starting position on the right side of the defense, although that is not due to the absence of Pedersen, because Geertruida has already played in that position in recent weeks. Trauner’s absence means that Slot had to do some puzzling.

The central duo can be formed by Marcos Senesi and Fredrik Aursnes; In that case, the latter plays for the first time in his career as a central defender. However, it is not yet clear exactly what the plans are; UEFA maintains a three-man defense consisting of Geertruida, Senesi and Ramon Hendriks. In that case, Aursnes would be in midfield.

Hendriks has a basic place for the first time since the group match against Maccabi Haifa (2-1 win) on December 9. Tyrell Malacia, normally the left back of Feyenoord, is not part of the match selection. The reason for this is unknown.
