A day after the 2-1 defeat against Go Ahead Eagles, Ajax came into action again, this time in a friendly meeting with Heracles Almelo. The closed practice match was won by Ajax with no less than 5-1. Mohammed Kudus gave his business card with two goals, while Danilo, Victor Jensen and Kenneth Taylor accounted for the other goals of the Amsterdam club.

In the first half, Ajax laid the foundation for the simple victory over Heracles. In the first 45 minutes, Danilo, Kudus and Jensen already managed to find the net at Sportpark De Toekomst. Elias Sierra did something in return for the visitors after the break, although that was not enough for a comeback of Heracles in Amsterdam. Taylor and again Kudus eventually made it 5-1 on Monday-afternoon.

The team of trainer Erik ten Hag faced Heracles with a mix of players from the first and second team. For example, there were basic places for Nicolás Tagliafico, Ryan Gravenberch and Mohamed Daramy. For Kudus, the double win in the friendly meeting is a boost. The attacking midfielder has suffered from injuries since his arrival at Ajax in 2020. One and a half years after his entrance in Amsterdam, Kudus is on 31 games (5 goals and 3 assists) in official matches.

Ajax setup: Setford, Van Gelderen (Salah-Eddine) Llansana, Musampa, Tagliafico; (Boss), Taylor, Gravenberch (Fitz-Jim), Kudus; Jensen (Hansen), Danilo, Daramy
