Hugo Borst cannot appreciate a joke by Kees Kwakman after the Eredivisie match between Willem II and Ajax (0-1). In the 81st minute Jurriën Timber, apparently with his noble part, took care of the winning goal. While The Grandstand Jan Joost van Gangelen calls the goal a ‘nickel goal’, after which Kwakman refers to Marc Overmars. The joke leads to some misunderstanding on the part of Borst.

Ten minutes before the end of regular time, Antony delivered an excellent cross from the right near the far post. The running-in Timber got to the ball in time to make it 0-1, and seemed to do so with his thigh or genitals. “Foppe de Haan once called this an old-fashioned ‘nickel goal’. This is a dead end goal”, Van Gangelen remarks during the review.

Kwakman responds to the observation of the ESPN-presenter. “Well, he did that especially for Overmars,” the analyst says with a wink. The comment is appreciated by the laughing presenters Van Gangelen and Aletha Leidelmeijer, but Hugo Borst does not appreciate the joke in the least. “Can we please stop joking about the Dick† Don’t man. We are in an era and this is not the time for it at all. No, don’t!” grumbles the irritated Borst.
