Ajax is approaching an agreement with Juventus about the arrival of Mohamed Ihattaren, report ESPN and The Telegraph Thursday. The Amsterdammers want to rent the talented Ihattaren from Juventus for six months. Moreover, Ajax has negotiated an option to buy. Ihattaren’s contract in Turin will run until mid-2025, but his future seems to be in the Netherlands.

ESPN has tried to obtain information from agent Ali Dursun about the possible transfer of Ihattararen to Ajax. The 19-year-old midfielder’s advocate will neither confirm nor deny the deal on Thursday. If Ajax decides to take over Ihattaren from Juventus after the rental period has ended, a contract for four seasons is ready for him in the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

Last weekend, Ihattaren looked back on the turbulent rental period at Sampdoria, where he never made his official debut due to personal circumstances. In his own words, he was not at all untraceable, as had been reported by various media. “All is not correct, but you are shocked when you read it. Everything was said about me, but never spoken to me. Indeed, I did not hear from me after I left Sampdoria, where Juventus kept me for a season. I left because of the circumstances at Sampdoria. As a nineteen year old I sat there in a hotel room. Alone, completely left to my own devices. I couldn’t bear it anymore. All kinds of agreements were not kept. As if I did not exist “, so it sounded in an interview with The Telegraph.
