Francesco Antonucci will play for FC Volendam again, as you know 1908.nl, which is affiliated with Feyenoord Transfermarkt. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder will be loaned by Feyenoord for the rest of the season to the leader from the Kitchen Champion Division. No option to purchase has been agreed.

Feyenoord paid no less than 2.2 million euros for Antonucci in the summer of 2020, making the Belgian youth international the second most expensive purchase of Frank Arnesen. The technical director only paid more for Robert Bozeník (four million euros). Both purchases were completely lost in Rotterdam: Antonucci only played one official game for Feyenoord, a nine-minute substitute against FC Drita in the second preliminary round of the Conference League.

The redundant Antonucci is now stabled at FC Volendam, for which he has been on a rental basis twice before. In the 2019/20 season the number ten was kept by AS Monaco in the Kras Stadium and last football year by Feyenoord. Antonucci is highly regarded at Volendam and produced 15 goals and 17 assists in his first 53 appearances for the club.

Antonucci must help Volendam to secure the championship in the Kitchen Champion Division. In December Wim Jonk already expressed the hope that the Belgian-Italian midfielder would come again. “I would be lying if that’s not the case,” said the trainer before NH Sports. “But I think that applies to every team in the Netherlands that plays at a certain level. We will see, because of course he has so much choice.”
