PSV will not fly to Spain on Tuesday morning. The club was initially supposed to travel to Marbella for the winter training camp, but is struggling with several positive corona tests, the club announced on Tuesday morning. The training camp was supposed to last in Spain until January 10, but it was decided to stay in Eindhoven instead. The selection will train at De Herdgang in the coming days.

PSV is therefore the second top Dutch club to cancel the training camp. Earlier, Feyenoord already decided to stay in the Netherlands. It was also considered irresponsible in Rotterdam to travel to the Spanish sun with a number of positive corona tests. The Rotterdammers reported on Saturday that there are infections within the staff as well as the player selection, but did not disclose who it was and how big the corona outbreak is.

It is also unknown at PSV which players have taken a positive test. The club only reports through the official channels that it will not travel to Marbella this winter. The plane of the Eindhoven residents would take off on Tuesday morning, but will therefore remain on the ground. On Monday, the club took several tests that showed that there are several corona cases within the selection. The exhibition game with Karlsruhe SC on January 9 is therefore cancelled.
