Dusan Tadic and Jurriën Timber were awarded on Thursday evening. The Ajax players were voted Serbian and Curaçao Player of the Year, respectively. For the captain of Ajax and the Serbian national team it was the second time that he won the prize. Timber claimed the prize for the first time and was ahead of the likes of Riechedly Bazoer, Lutsharel Geertruida and Tyrell Malacia.

On Thursday evening, Tadic posted a photo with the trophy in his hands from Belgrade on Instagram. “Great and proud feeling to this Player of the Year award to win! Not possible without my teammates and staff from Ajax and Serbia,” the attacker writes with the photo. It is the second time that he has been awarded the individual prize, which he also won in 2019.

Timber is voted Curaçao Player of the Year on the same evening. The defender finally broke through at Ajax in 2021 and also made his debut in the Dutch national team. In the election he stayed ahead of Bazoer, who finished in second place. In addition to Geertruida and Malacia, goalkeeper Eloy Room also got a place in the top eight. Kenji Gorré, Anthony van den Hurk and Jarchinio Antonia complete the list of nominees.
