Barcelona has reached an agreement in principle with Internazionale about a spicy ‘player swap’, reports Sport. According to the Catalan newspaper, Luuk de Jong, who is rented by Barça from Seville, will play in Milan on a rental basis from January. In exchange, Barcelona will temporarily have access to Alexis Sánchez, who has previously been successful at the Camp Nou.

The departure of De Jong from Barcelona has been in the air for some time, as Xavi only calls on the center striker in case of dire need. The Barça coach must, according to Sport give his yes to the deal with Inter. De Jong was on Sunday against Osasuna (2-2) in the absence of the injured Memphis Depay for the entire game at Barça, but was unable to impress. Except for a short substitute against Real Betis (0-1 loss), he got no further minutes under Xavi.

Catalonia is full of rumors about De Jong anyway, because Mundo Deportivo
adds that Fenerbahçe is also in the market for the former PSV player. In Istanbul, De Jong should compete with Serdar Dursun. Barcelona itself paid half a million euros to Sevilla to rent the 38-time the Dutch international for a season. There is now a huge chance that the marriage will be broken off again after a failed six months.
