VfL Wolfsburg is open to a departure from Wout Weghorst in the winter transfer window. Sports Image write that the Wölfe due to ‘his character’ do not plan to extend his contract until mid-2023. Wolfsburg took over Weghorst from AZ in the summer of 2018 for 10.5 million euros. Since then, the former player of Willem II, FC Emmen and Heracles Almelo has scored 70 goals and 22 assists in 140 official matches.
