Troyes AC is ready to make an offer of two million euros for Franco Antonucci, reports L’Equipe Tuesday. The current number seventeen of Ligue 1 was also interested in the services of the 22-year-old midfielder of Feyenoord last summer. According to the French sports newspaper, Antonucci himself is not unsympathetic to a switch to France.

L’Equipe reported last summer that Feyenoord canceled a transfer from Antonucci to Troyes just before the closing of the transfer market. The French relegation candidate would have paid 2.5 million for the midfielder at the time. According to reports at the time, this offer was brushed aside by technical director Frank Arnesen, but a few months later Feyenoord is open to a (temporary) departure from Antonucci.

According to the French sports newspaper, Troyes will make a new attempt in January to recruit Antonucci with a bid of two million euros and the midfielder also sees a transfer himself. Feyenoord Transfermarkt also reported last month that six Feyenoord players, including Antonucci, will be ‘rented or sold’ during the winter transfer period. The Belgian born with Italian roots came on the field in the first Conference League preliminary round match against FC Drita (0-0) nine minutes before the end, but this season, partly due to injuries, he was not once in the selection for an Eredivisie match.

Antonucci has a contract with Feyenoord until mid-2024. The midfielder was taken over from AS Monaco in 2020 for around 2.5 million euros and then immediately leased to FC Volendam. Antonucci impressed last season with the current leader of the Kitchen Champion Division. In 32 games, he was good for 4 goals and 12 assists.
