Edwin de Graaf has successfully operated on a tumor, NAC Breda reports via the official roads. The trainer of the club from the Kitchen Champion Division is doing well under the circumstances. “Fortunately, we were there early and it can be treated well,” says the hopeful De Graaf on the club website.

De Graaf missed the league match against Helmond Sport on Saturday 27 November (1-0 win). A few days before that, the NAC coach was operated on. According to the North Brabant club, there is still a treatment process for De Graaf. “When exactly that will be and what the trajectory will look like is not yet clear,” said NAC. “The tumor is local and can therefore be treated well.”

It is not clear whether De Graaf will have to miss more matches. “I don’t feel sick,” said the coach. “The only trouble I have is the surgical wound. Now we have to wait and see what it will look like. At the moment there is no concrete treatment plan. When and how much I will be absent in the near future is not yet known. It may sound crazy, but we have to keep the focus on football.”
