The draw for the eighth finals of the Champions League has resulted in a cracker between Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United. For Lionel Messi it means a meeting with Cristiano Ronaldo. Cup holder Chelsea will cross swords with Lille OSC in February 2022, the draw at UEFA headquarters revealed on Monday.

Paris Saint-Germain grabbed next to group win in the group stage. The French superpower finished second behind Manchester City, so a tough draw was already taken into account. The Citizens must now beat Villarreal to reach the quarter-finals. Ajax was linked in Nyon to Internazionale, which is currently leading in the Serie A.

The first legs in the eighth finals will be played on February 15, 16, 22 and 23, after which the returns are scheduled on 8, 9, 15 and 16. The seeded teams start with a home game and end the eighth finals with an away game.
