The Bundesliga can be seen on Ziggo Sport from Saturday, the TV channel reports in a press release. At the moment the matches from the competition of Germany can be viewed for free via YouTiube, but Ziggo Sport will broadcast the matches until the end of the season. On Saturday, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig will be in action.

The broadcasting rights of the Bundesliga have recently been in the hands of the Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT), which, however, will not launch its streaming service in the Netherlands until next year. To ensure that the Bundesliga remained on view, this season’s matches were broadcast live on YouTube for free with English commentary. The live broadcasts on YouTube may stop now that Ziggo Sport has the images, but there is no definitive answer.

Ziggo Sport wants to continue to offer viewers football in the coming years. “The contracts with, for example, the Spanish LaLiga, Italian Serie A, the French Ligue 1 will continue for several years. The same applies to the cooperation with UEFA for the Champions League, Nations League and for all European / World Cup qualifiers, whereby the matches can be seen separately but also on Ziggo Sport Switch, where the highlights from all those matches are bundled in one long broadcast. It is a format that is appreciated and well viewed.”
