PSV has entered into a partnership with De Graafschap, both clubs announced on Tuesday through their official channels. PSV and the Gelderse club are going to work together in the field of youth scouting. The link was confirmed on Monday evening prior to the Kitchen Champion Division match between Young PSV and De Graafschap (2-3) by PSV Head of Youth Academy Ernest Faber and De Graafschap’s Head of Youth Academy Jefta Bresser.

PSV and De Graafschap want to share knowledge with each other in the field of youth scouting to ensure that less football talent is lost. “Unfortunately, that still happens too often in the Netherlands,” explains Ernest Faber. “In our view, everyone is unique and this collaboration allows us to offer our players even better customization. By working together more intensively, we believe that we can provide both youth academy with the most promising talents, raise youth scouting to a higher level and realize a more efficient implementation of our teams.”

The partnership between PSV and De Graafschap arose from a good relationship that the two clubs have maintained for a long time. “The culture of PSV and De Graafschap is close to each other,” says Jefta Bresser. “We are convinced that both clubs will benefit from this.” The clubs let it be known that the cooperation extends further than just youth scouting. The possibility of expanding technical and organizational cooperation among young people is also being looked into.

At PSV, there are several youth players in the A-selection of trainer Roger Schmidt in the form of Cody Gakpo, Jordan Teze, Yorbe Vertessen and Armando Obispo, while at De Graafschap, Hidde Jurjus and Ted van der Pavert, among others, are the youth academy of the PSV. Gelderland club.
