Henk Fraser doubts whether he should continue as a trainer of Sparta Rotterdam, he says in conversation with theGeneral Newspaper. Earlier in the day, the club announced through the official channels that the ways of Sparta and technical director Henk van Stee are separating immediately. This creates a dilemma for Fraser. “Then I have to ask myself: is my loyalty to Henk just as great as that to the player group?”, said the Spartan trainer.
It is not yet clear who will succeed Van Stee as technical director. Fraser also does not know yet whether he will continue as a trainer of Sparta due to the news of his departure. “If Van Stee goes there will be a dilemma for me, yes. Then I have to ask myself: is my loyalty to Henk just as great as that to the player group?” said Fraser last Friday. Henk has meant a lot to me at Sparta. It’s an emotional day for me. I’m not sure yet how I’m going to act. I want to speak with Henk first, then with the players’ group and then with general manager Laros. I will then make a decision in the interest of Sparta.”
