Barcelona will be the first to target Ferran Torres in the coming winter transfer window. The Catalans reached a personal agreement with the 21-year-old right attacker of Manchester City last Tuesday, they know marca and Mundo Deportivo. Ferran may leave England with the right offer, he has been told by his employer.

Barca are urgently looking for attacking reinforcements and have been linked to countless names in recent months. Ferran’s name comes as a surprise, because the wing tip was hardly mentioned. The Spaniard is interested in moving to Barcelona and has reached an agreement in principle with Mateu Alemany. The Barca technical director was in Manchester this week to discuss a transition.

Ferran has since informed Pep Guardiola of his wish to leave for Barcelona. The manager of Manchester City grants permission if the right offer is put on the table. It is as yet completely unclear how Barcelona plans to finance Ferran’s transfer. Alemany recently announced at the presentation of Dani Alves that the Spanish superpower cannot attract players in January unless players are sold first. Barcelona may opt for a rental deal with City.

Ferran is currently recovering from a fracture to his right foot, which he sustained in the Nations League semi-finals in early October. Curiously, Ferran played for another 83 minutes in the final, after which the injury was only diagnosed. The attacker is on his way back and aims to return in the next calendar year. He was taken away from Valencia in the summer of 2020 by City, who received a flat fee of EUR 25 million. In addition, conditions for bonuses were agreed, which according to marca have not yet been achieved. Ferran is on 43 appearances for City, in which he produced 16 goals and 2 assists.
