Roger Schmidt has announced PSV’s line-up for the home game against Sturm Graz. The trainer of the Eindhoven team opts for the same eleven names as last Saturday against Vitesse (2-0 win). That means that Phillipp Mwene and Mauro Júnior once again occupy the back positions. The match starts at 9 p.m. in the Philips Stadium.

The most notable name in the lineup is probably that of Érick Gutiérrez. The Mexican midfielder had to do with a supporting role under Schmidt for a long time, but has been preferring Marco van Ginkel and Davy Pröpper for weeks now. Gutic forms the controlling block with the man in form Ibrahim Sangaré, who provided the beautiful opening goal against Vitesse.

The infirmary in Eindhoven is still overcrowded. For example, the North Brabant had to do without Philipp Max, Jordan Teze, Cody Gakpo, Noni Madueke and Eran Zahavi for some time. Maximiliano Romero joined this week. The striker has to recover from a new injury for two to three weeks. Three young PSV promises have been added to the selection: Dennis Vos, Jenson Seelt and Jeremy Antonisse.

PSV is currently third in Group B and only needs one point to ensure a winter in at least the Conference League. However, the Eredivisionist will focus on winning in order to fully participate for the first two places in the group. PSV is on five points, while Real Sociedad and AS Monaco collected six and eight points respectively. The last two teams will play against each other in Monaco on Thursday evening.
