Barcelona can expect a mega offer from Germany for Pedri, so assured ASH Monday. According to the sports newspaper, Bayern Munich plans to make the eighteen-year-old midfielder the most expensive purchase in club history and therefore pay more than eighty million euros. However, Barcelona has absolutely no intention of letting the brand-new Golden Boy award winner leave, it sounds like.

Pedri signed a new contract at the Camp Nou a month ago, linking the Spanish international to Barça until mid-2026. With a (mandatory in Spain) escape clause of one billion euros, the Catalans wanted to deter other interested clubs, but according to ASH that didn’t work. Bayern is seriously in the market for Pedri and wants to make a mega offer in January or else in the summer.

Der Rekordmeister is aware of the precarious financial situation of Barcelona and thinks he does have a chance to untie Pedri. More than a year ago, Barça paid ‘only’ seven million euros to remove the currently injured youngster from Las Palmas. Pedri himself feels it according to ASH not much for switching clubs again. He is very comfortable in Barcelona and wants to develop further at the Camp Nou.

So Bayern are reportedly planning to go very far for Pedri. For a long time, the German superpower did not want to participate in the transfer violence of Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain in particular, but in the past two years it has for the first time paid transfer fees of more than fifty million euros. Leroy Sané, for example, came over from Manchester City in 2020 for sixty million euros, while the club record is in the name of Lucas Hernández. Two years ago, eighty million euros was transferred to Atlético Madrid for the defender.
