Sergio Aguero takes to Twitter to respond to the rumors of the possible end of his football career. The 33-year-old Barcelona attacker, who is struggling with heart problems, will take three months to evaluate his situation with doctors.
Friday morning was in the program El Matic by Catalunya Radio that research at the hospital has shown that Aguero may have to stop playing professional football. “In response to the rumours, I can tell you that I am following all instructions given to me by the doctors at the club,” the Argentine wrote on Twitter. “I’m undergoing tests and treatment and in 90 days we’ll watch the progression. Always stay positive!”

Aguero does not deny that it is possible that he will have to say goodbye as a professional footballer. ESPN adds Friday afternoon that it is indeed too early to draw conclusions about that. Almost two weeks ago, Aguero was replaced just before half-time in the home game against Deportivo Alavés (1-1). The attacker grabbed his chest and neck in the 41st minute while lying on the field, and appeared to have breathing problems. He didn’t want to get on the stretcher and quietly walked off the field.
