Cristiano Ronaldo was unable to distinguish himself on the field against Ireland (0-0) on Thursday evening, but did so afterwards. The Portugal superstar gave away his shirt to a little girl, who flew into his arms shortly after the final whistle.
Portugal had to score a point against Ireland to take the lead in Group A and succeeded in its mission. Ronaldo was in the grip of defensively operating Ireland for almost 90 minutes, although the Manchester United attacker came very close with a header. Immediately afterwards, Irish goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu appeared to be asking for Ronaldo’s shirt. In the end, the girl who was hanging around the arms of the Portuguese a few seconds later.
