Fenerbahçe finally scored another victory on Thursday evening. The team of Vítor Pereira had not won four matches, but settled with Royal Antwerp on Thursday with great conviction: 0-3. In particular, the third goal, which came from the foot of Mergim Berisha, was of enormous beauty. Fenerbahçe remains third in Group D, but continues to participate in the Europa League with its first European victory.

The stands of the Bosuil stadium remained empty on Thursday evening, as a result of the punishment Antwerp received as a result of the disturbances at the home game against Eintracht Frankfurt (0-1). Fenerbahçe had a dream start in Belgium and was ahead 0-3 within half an hour. The first goal came in the name of Mert Hakan Yandas, who curled the ball into the far corner from eighteen meters: 0-1.

Then Max Meyer was nicely launched by a heel from Berisha, after which the former could enter the penalty area and quietly select the corner: 0-2. Fenerbahçe’s third goal was even more beautiful. Yandas combined the penalty area and crossed for Berisha, who finished with a half bicycle kick: 0-3. With that, the loot was in for Fenerbahçe, which hit the post after the break in the person of Berisha.

The curtain seems to be falling for Antwerp from a European perspective. The Belgian club is at the bottom with one point and is four points behind Fenerbahçe. Eintracht Frankfurt is at the top with ten points due to his victory at Olympiacos (1-2), while the Greeks are second with six points.
