Barcelona will also have to do without Pedri in the coming weeks, reports ASH. The 18-year-old midfielder has suffered a backlash from his hamstring injury and is expected to be out for another three weeks.

Pedri was injured on September 14 against Bayern Munich (0-3 loss). The Spain international returned to Benfica (3-0 defeat) fifteen days later, but was immediately injured again and was replaced after more than an hour. Pedri suddenly felt pain in his hamstring again during the individual morning training on Sunday and stopped the session. An MRI scan Monday showed that his hamstring is still sensitive.

A hefty setback for Pedri, who was not injured for a moment last season and played no fewer than 74 official games for club and country. It means that the midfielder has to miss the matches against Rayo Vallecano, Deportivo Alavés, Dynamo Kiev and Celta de Vigo. The goal for Pedri now is to return on November 20 in the home game against fellow townsman Espanyol. Three days later, Barcelona will play a crucial home game in the Champions League against Benfica.
