Ajax is going to take tough action against supporters who illegally offer their Champions League match tickets on the internet. The club has now managed to trace a group of about 25 fans and tells Ajax Life that they face a severe punishment. In addition to the tickets for the Champions League, tickets in the Eredivisie are also on sale, the club knows.

The discussion started when after ticket sales for the match against Borussia Dortmund tickets were offered for sale at extortionate prices at online outlets. Ajax has made every effort to trace the perpetrators of this illegal trade and has managed to obtain the data of 25 supporters. Their season ticket has been blocked, a fine of 450 euros awaits and a stadium ban of eighteen months follows.

Another penalty may await the identified supporters. “Ajax will also register these persons with the KNVB for a national stadium ban”, a club spokesperson told the above-mentioned supporters’ association. Ajax does not rule out that the number of traced persons will increase further in the coming days. Dortmund tickets for the top match against PSV and the duel with Besiktas were also offered for sale on the internet.

“As the Ajax Supporters’ Association, we would like to emphasize once again that we regret that there are people who want to earn a lot of money on the backs of fellow supporters,” he added. Ajax Life up to it. “They abuse the popularity of Ajax and the scarcity of tickets that arise at some matches. Too often we see screenshots of conversations with these sellers, who justify themselves that they offer these tickets for four hundred euros or (much) more. Let the action that Ajax is taking against this black market be a warning.”
