Think that Ajax mainly wants a somewhat older goalkeeper, with some experience. So not someone who will actually get in the way of a Setford or Gorter in the future. Someone between 25 and 30. Who is not as very old as Stitch or Pasveer and yet has enough experience to be the number 1.

Personally, I think there are a few that I can list, but I have no idea if everyone is equally feasible (except for the two mentioned here):

– There are two good keepers at a Villareal. Previously, Asenjo was the first goalkeeper. I think it’s that Rulli now. Personally, I think Asenjo is the ideal age and experience for Ajax.
– Benitez from OGC Nice. Perhaps not feasible, since Nice is quite busy with money and wants to take the next step. Ideal age, experience and a great goalkeeper.
– Dragowski from Fiorentina: first goalkeeper there. I don’t think it will take long before he becomes the first goalkeeper for Poland. Szceszny is making more and more blunders. But whether Fiorentina wants to let their keeper go, don’t think so.
– Matt Ryan (possibly rent). Does not play at Soceidad. Made a good impression on me. Both at Brighton and Arsenal at the time. Too bad Arsenal didn’t bring him in at the time as a backup to Ramsdale.
– Robin Zentner of Mainz. 26 years old, German and doing quite well at Mainz.
– Mark Fleck. Does well at Freiburg. 28 years old and Dutch. Good with the feet. Seems almost ideal. I’ve also seen him more often than most who say something about him these days.
– Paul Bernardoni: 24 year old goalkeeper of surprise Angers in France. Doing very well in Ligue 1.
– Gomis of Stade Rennais. Has been keeping in Ligue 1 for quite some time now and perhaps he also wants to make a step.
– Stefan Ortega. 28 years. Experience in the Bundesliga and doing very well.

I think there are plenty of options for Ajax.

Okoye can also be an option, but I don’t think it is an ideal option given his age if you also want to give a Gorter/setford/raatsie chances in the future.
