Trabzonspor stays overnight as the leader of the Süper Lig. The team of trainer Abdullah Avci was 1-2 too strong for Kayserispor on Saturday and leads with eighteen points from eight matches. Defending champion Besiktas was too strong for Sivasspor with the same figures and is second in the ranking of the Turkish league with seventeen points. Fenerbahçe plays at home against Kasimpasa on Sunday and regains the lead with a win. Galatasaray will also be in action on Sunday: the current number eleven visits the last Rizespor.

Besiktas – Sivasspor 2-1
A brilliant goal after half an hour of play caused the class difference in the first half. After a pass from Valentin Rosier from the right, Güven Yalçin worked the ball beautifully behind goalkeeper Muammer Yildirim in one go with a half overhead: 1-0. The second half was less than ten minutes old when Ridvan Yilmaz headed the ball behind his own goalkeeper when he wanted to prevent Pedro Henrique from heading in a cross: 1-1.

Yalçin also took the 2-1 from Besiktas twenty minutes before the end. After a cross by Yilmaz from the left, the attacker headed the ball diagonally into the right corner behind Yildirim. That was also the final score in Istanbul, where the three-pointer was very welcome after three games in a row without a win.

Kayserispor – Trabzonspor 1-2
After twelve minutes, Avci’s team took the lead. Anastasios Bakasetas got the ball in front of his feet a few meters from the penalty area and shot it hard, almost from stance, behind goalkeeper Silviu Lung. A few minutes before half time, Kayserispor equalized. After a cross by Onur Bulut from the right, Emrah Bassan headed the ball diagonally into the left corner behind goalkeeper Ugurcan Çakir: 1-1.

Marek Hamsik thought in the second half to make the 1-2 brilliantly with a bet from fifty meters from a referee ball. However, this is not allowed, because the ball must have been touched by at least two players after the arbiter’s award. As a result, Hamsik’s direct hit, who dropped the ball brilliantly into the top corner, did not go through. However, the three points still went to Trabzon thanks to a striking penalty from Bakasetas, who already has five hits and three assists after eight match days.
