According to technical director Frank Arnesen, the chance that Guus Til will play for Feyenoord after this season is small. The attacking midfielder is hired from Spartak Moscow and will normally return after this season. Feyenoord supporters do not have to fear that Til will return to Moscow in the meantime. Only if Til would not or hardly get to play in Rotterdam, the Russian top club could choose to bring him back earlier.
“The better he does, the smaller that chance becomes,” Arnesen responds when he continues RTV Rijnmond is asked about the possibility of tying Til longer. “He will eventually go back to Moscow, that’s what has been agreed between the three parties involved. Those are Spartak, Til himself and Feyenoord. We don’t make a fuss about that either, we are very happy with the deal as it is now, that we were able to get it, in our parameter of money. Til has had an excellent start to the season. In the Eredivisie he has already scored five times in six games, while in Europe he has already scored six times in seven games. His good performances will not lead to a shorter stay in De Kuip. Spartak Moscow has a clause that allows 23-year-old Til to be recalled earlier. According to the regional broadcaster, however, this is a situation such as the the Dutch international experienced in Germany, when he barely got to play at Freiburg. Til is a regular base customer at Feyenoord. Moreover, Spartak Moscow has a wide selection and there is no need for his return for the time being, it sounds like.
