The line-up of Feyenoord for the league match against sc Heerenveen on Wednesday evening is known. Trainer Arne Slot is making one change in his basic team compared to last Sunday’s resounding 0-4 victory over PSV. Bryan Linssen returns to the starting line-up, at the expense of Fredrik Aursnes. The match between Feyenoord and Heerenveen starts at 9 p.m. in De Kuip and is led by referee Martin van den Kerkhof.

Strikingly enough, Slot started last Sunday without Linssen and instead opted for an extra midfielder with Jens Toornstra. Linssen finally came in the line twenty minutes before the end and was accurate not much later. Slot’s plan was excellently executed by his team, as the Rotterdam team won with no less than 0-4. Against Heerenveen, Slot reverts to his usual system and sends three midfielders into the field with Jens Toornstra, Orkun Kökçü and Guus Til.

Marcus Pedersen was injured against PSV with an apparently serious injury. The defender collided hard with teammate Gernot Trauner and had to leave the field on a stretcher, but is fit enough to start. He is assisted in the defense by Trauner, Marcos Senesi and Tyrell Malacia. In the front Linssen is flanked by Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Luis Sinisterra.

Line-up Feyenoord: Bijlow; Pedersen, Trauner, Senesi, Malacia; Til, Toornstra, Kökçü; Sinisterra, Jahanbakhsh, Linssen
