Peter Hyballa has found a new club. The German trainer will work in his own country at Türkgücü Munich, which plays at the third level. For example, more than a month after his controversial departure from the Danish Esbjerg fB, Hyballa is back home. “We have had good conversations with Peter and we believe that he is the right man in the right place,” said director Max Kothny.

Türkgücü, which is heavily focused on the Turkish community in Munich, has lost three of its last four games and is tenth in the 3. Liga. After the defeat against 1. FC Saarbrücken last Saturday, Petr Ruman was fired. Hyballa is then immediately appointed as his successor. “Türkgücü Munich is a club under construction, where I see a lot of perspective,” says Hyballa, who was a trainer of NEC and NAC Breda in the Netherlands, on the website of his new employer. “My goal is to make every player here better.”

Hyballa started working for Esbjerg this summer, but soon came into conflict with almost the entire player group. At the beginning of August, he sent an open letter to the Danish press, demanding the German’s resignation. The Esbjerg players accused Hyballa, among other things, of body shaming and physical intimidation. Hyballa initially stayed put, but decided to resign on August 11.

“I can’t defend myself against air,” Hyballa said of his resignation from ESPN. “It was really destroying. Every three days I had done something new. But for me it was a very normal way of coaching. But today you can’t say anything about color, religion, homosexuals, heterosexuals, and this and this and this and this. I accept all of that too.”
