Roger Schmidt has announced PSV’s line-up for the first group match in the Europa League. The team from Eindhoven will play against Real Sociedad in the same line-up as last Saturday against AZ (0-3 win). That means that Olivier Boscagli will once again move to midfield, freeing up a place in the defense for Armando Obispo. The kick-off is at 9 p.m. in the Philips Stadium.

PSV will have to compete with the Basques without Ibrahim Sangaré, who will be out for a few weeks due to a muscle injury. Davy Pröpper does return after a three-week absence from a muscle injury. The midfielder starts on the bench. Maximiliano Romero is also back in the PSV match selection. The center striker last played an official game exactly a year ago and has recovered from a serious knee injury. Carlos Vinícius has received his work permit and can make his debut from the bench.

Joël Drommel starts as usual in the goal at PSV, while Phillipp Mwene and Philipp Max occupy the back positions. In the back, André Ramalho forms a central duo with Obispo, while the controlling block in midfield consists of Marco van Ginkel and Boscagli. Mario Götze plays as number ten right behind Eran Zahavi, while Noni Madueke and Cody Gakpo are the wing tips.

Real Sociedad will face PSV in a 4-4-2 formation. With former Willem II striker Alexander Isak, the Spaniards have one player in the base with experience in the Eredivisie. Ex-FC Groningen striker Alexander Sörloth starts on the bench. The most famous names in the lineup are probably those of former Manchester City star David Silva and ex-Manchester United player Adnan Januzaj.
