Vitesse traveled to Slovenia with 22 players for Thursday’s away match against NS Mura in the Conference League. Compared to the competition match against RKC Waalwijk (1-2 win) on Sunday, Matus Bero returns to the selection. On the other hand, there is the absence of Eli Dasa. The Israeli defender is absent because of the important Jewish holiday Yom Kippur, which is celebrated on Thursday.

Bero was absent against RKC due to illness, but did not miss a minute in all other official matches of Vitesse this season. The midfielder scored in both qualifying round matches against Dundalk. He normally forms the heart of the Arnhem defence, together with Sondre Tronstad. Million Manhoef, Daan Reiziger and Dominik Oroz are not among them yet, Vitesse communicates. The first two players have been missing for some time due to injuries; Oroz was not there against RKC for the first time this season due to a positive corona test.

The lack of Dasa forces trainer Thomas Letsch to choose another right back. In the last six games, Dasa had a starting place. He scored a wonderful goal in the last Conference League preliminary round in the away match against Anderlecht (3-3) and provided the assist for both goals by Maximilian Wittek in the return match (2-1 win). Romaric Yapi, who came over on a free transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion this summer, seems the most logical replacement for Dasa. He still had a basic place against Willem II (0-3 loss) on Sunday, August 22, and was then replaced by Dasa at halftime.
