As expected, the KNVB license committee has deducted three points for ADO Den Haag for the second time. The club from the Kitchen Champion Division did not submit a balanced budget to the KNVB for the second time and is therefore punished. ADO will immediately appeal the decision.

At the request of ADO Den Haag, the first and second point deductions will be dealt with simultaneously in an appeal case, which will be filed shortly. The club from The Hague has been involved in a takeover process for months. Last Friday, the takeover of the Lentze/Jol Group temporarily stalled, leaving the club with a gap of five million euros in the budget and the club did not meet the second deadline set by the KNVB. Next month, ADO will have a third and last chance to submit a balanced budget. If that fails, the club’s professional license will be revoked.

Negotiations are still going on between ADO, the municipality and the Lentze/Jol Group. Last week an agreement in principle was even reached about the takeover, with the clear condition that ADO would take over the Cars Jeans Stadium. The municipality of The Hague sent a letter to the club about this, which was published on the club website on Thursday. Football International reported that the stadium and parking spaces would be taken over for an amount of ten million euros. The optimism at ADO caused surprise among the municipality of The Hague and the Lentze/Jol Group, because the takeover procedure was not yet completed.
