The performance of Ibrahim Sangaré at PSV is causing division among the analysts. According to Arnold Bruggink, the midfielder has become an almost indispensable link for the Eindhoven Club, an opinion that Kenneth Perez absolutely does not share. Hans Kraay junior also thinks that Sangaré is sometimes a vulnerable factor in PSV’s midfield on Sunday morning.

“The Americans always say, and we are going to do that now, that numbers never lie”, Kraay junior opens in Good morning Eredivisie by ESPN. “The numbers of the balls he intercepts are very high, but he still regularly gives them the wrong color.” Sangaré was injured with the Ivory Coast national team and therefore missed the meeting with AZ. Trainer Roger Schmidt will not be able to have the midfielder for a few weeks anyway. According to Marciano Vink, that is not a disaster for PSV.

“I think Olivier Boscagli fills it in well in that place and fills it in in his own way,” said the former midfielder of the Eindhoven team. “I think Boscagli dares to come a little more around sixteen and will probably find the right solution there. Only I also said last time that I started to love Sangaré a little more, because I also see what he does. I also see that it gives the defense peace of mind and I also see that the team can put a little more pressure forward. So, he has proven his value for PSV.”

“It is true that he conquers balls, and not just over 30, 40, 50 meters. No, he also loses them over fifteen and twelve meters,” Kraay junior looks critically at Sangaré’s game at PSV. “He also has good passes over fifteen meters, which are less noticeable with him,” Vink jumps into the breach for the Ivory Coast international. “Of course, there are a lot of passes over ten meters where you think: How can you play that five meters in front of the man? He also has that in his game. But there are also passes that he plays well between the lines over ten meters.”
