Bayern Munich booked a big win over RB Leipzig on Saturday evening. Enjoyed a visit to the team of trainer Jesse Marsch of the Rekordmeister halfway through already a 0-1 lead, which was expanded even further after the break: 1-4. Thanks to the win, Bayern is in second place after four games and with ten points, behind VfL Wolfsburg, in the Bundesliga; RB Leipzig only collected three points from four games and is currently tenth.

The home team showed bravery and came out regularly in the opening phase, but several times encountered the strong playing Dayot Upamecano. However, in the tenth minute of play, RB Leipzig’s ambitions seemed to be over. Kevin Kampl held Leon Goretzka with both hands inside the box, after which the latter went to the ground, out of sight of referee Deniz Aytekin. After viewing the video images, Kampl’s violation was still recognized. Robert Lewandowksi was therefore allowed to moor from eleven meters and made no mistake: 0-1.

Nevertheless, RB Leipzig held their ground for a long time and through Kampl and Konrad Laimer, among others, they became dangerous several times, but it remained a threat. Bayern also lacked sharpness and fortune in front of the goal, so it took until two minutes after the break before another goal was scored. After a nice advance over the left flank of Alphonso Davies, Jamal Musiala gained possession of the ball via Benjamin Pavard. Musiala, who came in halfway through for the injured Serge Gnabry, made it 0-2 in a cool way.

Two minutes after André Silva’s goal was disallowed for offside, Bayern struck again on the other side. This time the goal was scored by Leroy Sané, who made the 0-3 on Musiala’s pass. After playing for an hour those Roten Bullen still the goal. Laimer had a wonderful long shot and left goalkeeper Manuel Neuer completely without a chance: 1-3. That also seemed to be the final score, but deep in injury time, Maxim Choupo-Moting took care of a fourth Bavarian goal: 1-4.
