Manchester City turned their difficult away game against Leicester City in the Premier League into a win on Saturday. The team of manager Josep Guardiola had enough with a single goal: 0-1. After four match days, the reigning national champion is on one point from fellow townsman and leader Manchester United: ten to nine points. At the same time, Arsenal managed to score and win for the first time this season in competition: Norwich City left the Emirates Stadium with a 1-0 defeat.

Leicester City – Manchester City 0-1
The first act at King Power Stadium ended goalless, but Guardiola’s team came close to scoring several times and also looked more dangerous than Brendan Rodgers’ side. However, the opportunities for Gabriel Jesus, Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish did not result in a goal and the Foxes were also very good defensively. Leicester City had a view of the 1-0 early in the game, but Ederson prevented a hit from Harvey Barnes and Wilfred Ndidi’s rebound was blocked in time by Kyle Walker.

Leicester City got off to a good start in the second half with a chance for Barnes and a goal from Jamie Vardy, who was offside when he was outplayed by Ndidi. Manchester City managed to get the game under control and came 0-1 after just over an hour of play: a low shot from Rodri was only half blocked by Kasper Schmeichel, after which Bernardo Silva used the rebound.

Manchester City managed to pull the lead across the finish line, although it was not easy. Ederson prevented the equalizer of Ademola Lookman fifteen minutes before the end and a few minutes later came face to face with Kelechi Iheanacho as the winner. Five minutes before the end, Rúben Dias made a mistake, but the defender corrected his misstep against Lookman in time and prevented a goal against. In extra time, Fernandinho’s bet went just wide.

Arsenal v Norwich City 1-0
Both teams had only one shot on target in the first half. Arsenal became dangerous through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was launched by a brilliant long ball from Martin Odegaard, but fired at Tim Krul. After the break, Thomas Partey made his comeback after a month of injury. The midfielder immediately made the difference by sending a beautiful pass to Bukayo Saka, who launched Nicolas Pépé. Pepe miraculously hit the post twice, after which Aubameyang was able to tap in on the goal line: 1-0. In the penultimate minute, Krul made another dangerous attempt by Emile Smith Rowe, after which Saka aimed just wide in the rebound.
