Jay Gorter has left the training camp of the Dutch Juniors. The KNVB reports that the Ajax goalkeeper has been injured and is returning to his club to recover. The team from Amsterdam also supply the replacement for Gorter with Calvin Raatsie.

Gorter, who was taken over by Ajax from Go Ahead Eagles this summer, hoped to make his debut in De Adelaarshorst on Tuesday evening. Young Moldavia will then visit the stadium of his previous club. An injury throws a spanner in the works. It is unknown what caused the goalkeeper to be injured. Just like for Gorter, his replacement Raatsie is in the final selection of the Dutch Juniors for the first time.

Van de Looi and his team will start the European Championship qualifying cycle for the European Championship of 2023 in Georgia and Romania next week. Van de Looi called up fifteen debutants for this international match.
