Richairo Zivkovic may return to the Eredivisie in the short term. According to Football International The currently clubless attacker has appeared on the radar of both sc Heerenveen and PEC Zwolle. The now 24-year-old Zivkovic can be picked up transfer-free by clubs after he left the Chinese Changchun Yatai earlier this year.

Zivkovic has more irons in the fire, as the attacker has recently held talks with a number of clubs from abroad, including Red Star Belgrade, in addition to Heerenveen and PEC. Football International expects Zivkovic to tie the knot in a matter of days as far as his near future as a player is concerned. It is not known whether his preference is a return to the Dutch fields or a new foreign adventure.

Zivkovic signed a contract with Changchun Yatai in mid-2019 until December 31, 2021. However, the collaboration was terminated at an earlier stage by both parties. The attacker was loaned by the club to Sheffield United and Guangzhou City FC in between. Earlier in his career, Zivkovic wore the shirt of successively FC Groningen, Ajax, FC Utrecht and KV Oostende.

Heerenveen has been looking for reinforcements for the vanguard for some time, in order to increase competition for Henk Veerman. Sydney van Hooijdonk exchanged NAC Breda for Bologna, while the arrival of Kaj Sierhuis (Stade Reims) also proved unfeasible. PEC is thinking of Zivkovic because currently only the hired Slobodan Tedic is an option in the point of the attack.
